The Miami Dolphins are coming off a surprising victory against the New England Patriots on Monday Night Football. The win kept the Dolphins in the playoff hunt. Two of Miami's last three games are against the Bills, including Sunday's regular-season finale.
As pointed out by Buffalo native Gregg Torlone on Twitter, the Dolphins' win against the Patriots might be a good omen.
Three times in the last 11 years, the Dolphins have beaten the Patriots at home, come to Buffalo in the following week and then lost.
In 2006, the scenario was the same as this one with a Dolphins' victory in Week 14 and a trip to Buffalo in Week 15.
In 2014, the games came in Week 1 and 2. In 2015, the games came in Weeks 15 and 16.
In 2014, the Dolphins beat NE at home, went to Buffalo the next week and lost 29-10.
In 2013, the Dolphins beat NE at home, went to Buffalo the next week and lost 19-0.
In 2006, the Dolphins beat NE at home, went to Buffalo the next week and lost 21-0.
Sunday, no difference.
