NIAGARA FALLS — Police are investigating a pair of car thefts that occurred between Friday and Saturday morning, including a 2015 Toyota sport utility vehicle that was stolen off the street on Niagara Avenue.

The owner of the Toyota told police that she locked the vehicle after parking it in front of her residence around 4 p.m. Thursday. Upon leaving for work Friday morning, she discovered the vehicle was missing. Loss was placed at $20,000.

A 22nd Street woman told police that her 2004 Nissan SUV was stolen out of her garage overnight Friday. The garage door had been accidentally left unlocked, police said, and officers found broken glass on the garage floor where the vehicle had been parked. Loss in that case was set at $3,000.
