NIAGARA FALLS — A maintenance worker has been fired from his job and is being investigated in connection with at least four thefts from apartments in which he had worked, police said Sunday.
The most recent incident occurred Friday morning at a 98th Street apartment complex, where the suspect had been working. A resident told police that a cellular telephone and vaporizer had been stolen from his apartment sometime between 9 a.m. and noon, when the suspect had been performing duties inside the residence. Loss was set at $140.
The previous day, a resident at the Pine View Apartments on Niagara Falls Boulevard reported that $330 worth of jewelry, including a gold chain and a heart charm, had been stolen from her apartment. Also missing were some medications, police said. The suspect was also connected to that scene.
Police are seeking to interview a 24-year-old North Tonawanda man in connection with the incidents.
