Buffalo Police early Sunday morning seized a loaded handgun and arrested the driver of a tan van for possession of a weapon after responding to a 911 call.
Officers found the van parked at 517 Goodyear Ave., with four occupants – one of whom matched the description given by the caller.
Police also found the black Highpoint .40-caliber gun, with a single bullet loaded in the chamber, and another nine in the magazine. The weapon's serial number was defaced, according to the police report.
The passengers were detained, while the driver, Derek Anderson, was arrested and charged with second-, third- and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
