A dog passed up the offer of a dog biscuit and instead took a bite out of a FedEx delivery driver recently, according to Town of Lewiston police.
The driver, a 54-year-old Lewiston woman, made a delivery to a Ridge Road address on Nov. 29 and was talking to the resident in the garage area when she told the homeowner to free the dog so she could give it a biscuit. When freed, the dog ignored the goodwill offering and instead bit the driver on the left forearm, thigh and hip, causing multiple injuries.
The homeowner offered preliminary first aid, but the driver later went to a treatment center after realizing the severity of her injuries. No further details were provided.
