The state Liquor Authority on Wednesday ordered the emergency suspension of a Cheektowaga strip club's liquor license after a series of fights and other disturbances.
Town police have been called to Tryst on Aero Drive 77 times over the eight months between February and October, including calls for assaults, fights and shots fired, the authority said in a news release.
The emergency suspension was issued during the Liquor Authority's full board meeting Wednesday in Albany. Effective immediately, no alcohol may be sold or consumed on the premises, according to the news release.
The board on Wednesday also agreed to terminate the license for Aperitivo Wine Bar in East Amherst, officials said. It was charged with purchasing from an unauthorized source and failure to maintain books and records.
