Ciminelli Real Estate Corp. has completed its $220,000 purchase of a nearly 15-acre parcel in Amherst owned by the Williamsville School District that will allow it to build a second access road into its proposed Muir Woods development.
The School Board approved the sale of the vacant land at 520 Campbell Blvd., which the district has owned for 50 years, in October and the developer closed on the purchase on Tuesday, according to a document filed with the Erie County Clerk's Office. The property is assessed at $71,000.
Ciminelli expects construction to begin on the 133-house subdivision, named the Preserve at Muir Woods, in the summer. The company is working with the town and utility companies on infrastructure planning, said spokeswoman Anne Duggan.
