St. Paul's Choir to be featured at church's 'Bicentennial Evensong'

St. Paul’s Cathedral will conclude its bicentennial year celebration at 7 p.m. Thursday with a "Bicentennial Evensong."

The public is invited to attend. Evensong, sometimes called vespers, is evening prayer, psalms and music. The music of St. Paul's Choir will be featured. The Right Rev. R. William Franklin, bishop of the Diocese of Western New York, will lead the event.

The grand opening of Cathedral Commons, the Apartments at St. Paul's, will follow the service with a cocktail reception. Each floor will be open to view the one- and two-bedroom apartments along with the business space on the first floor.

Cathedral Commons is located across the street from the cathedral at 128 Pearl St. It was the former parish house, music and administration offices.
