Evicted tenant accused of plugging sink, tub and flooding apartment

A tenant who was evicted from an East Side apartment is accused of flooding the apartment and causing significant water damage out of spite, according to a Buffalo police report.

The maintenance person for the property in the 400 block of East Delavan Avenue, between Humboldt Parkway and Fillmore Avenue, told police the vandalism took place between Friday and Saturday after the tenant was evicted.

He said he suspects she plugged up the bathtub and the bathroom sink and left the water running, flooding the apartment floors and damaging the carpet and the wood underneath. No damage estimate was provided and no arrests have been made.
