[BN] Blitz newsletter: Two pieces of bad news are all that made the Patriots game memorable

Stop me if you've heard this one before: The Patriots played the Bills and won convincingly in a game that nudged the Patriots closer to a first-round bye and put a damper on the Bills' playoff chances.

Sunday's 23-3 loss likely would've faded into the early evening darkness with the other nondescript Patriots losses over The Drought if not for two fourth-quarter talking points.

The first was Tyrod Taylor's injury. The Bills' quarterback was carted to the locker room early in the fourth with a knee injury, which raised the possibility that Sunday could've been his last game with the team if the injury is serious.

The second talking point was Rob Gronkowski's cheap shot on Bills cornerback Tre'Davious White. Gronk was penalized but not ejected for a hit that put White in concussion protocol.

Oh, and Tom Brady improved to 27-3 all-time against the Bills, marking the most wins for any player against a single opponent in NFL history. Good times.
