Patriots sack leader Trey Flowers won't play against Bills

The Patriots will be without Trey Flowers, who leads the team with six sacks, for Sunday's game against the Bills.

Flowers was downgraded to out on Saturday with a rib injury and did not travel with the team to Buffalo. He was hurt in the third quarter of last Sunday's game against Miami and was limited all week in practice.

He had been among eight Patriots players listed as questionable on the injury report. The team also downgraded special teamer/linebacker Trevor Reilly to out. He had suffered a concussion against the Dolphins.

With Flowers, rookie Deatrich Wise Jr. or Eric Lee, signed off the Bills' practice squad in late November, are likely to see an increased role. Geneo Grissom was promoted from the practice squad Saturday.
