Kaisertown man charged with setting 2 fires at his own home

A Buffalo man has been charged with two felony arson counts for allegedly starting two fires at his Kaisertown home last month, according to a Buffalo police report.

Christopher Krause, 35, was arrested Nov. 21 after authorities responded to a garage fire at 452 Willett St. The fire started with branches placed in a grill inside the garage, according to court papers. The garage was severely damaged and threatened to damage a neighboring home.

Krause is also accused of setting a laundry basket full of clothes on fire in the basement of the home on Nov. 13, according to court documents. Several people were inside the home at the time.

Krause was charged with two counts of fourth-degree arson, two counts of second-degree reckless endangerment and two counts of second-degree criminal mischief, police said.
