Niagara Falls man to serve five years on gun, drug charges

Tremell R. Jordan, 34, of McKoon Avenue, Niagara Falls, was told Thursday he will be sentenced to five years in prison for having drugs in his house and illegal firearms in a vacant building he owns.

State Supreme Court Justice Richard C. Kloch Sr. will impose the sentence Feb. 5 on the guilty pleas Jordan entered Thursday to second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and attempted third-degree possession of a controlled substance.

Niagara County Assistant District Attorney Doreen M. Hoffmann said that on Aug. 23, police with a search warrant found 21 grams of crack cocaine, two grams of powdered cocaine and some Suboxone in Jordan's house. In the vacant building, they found three handguns and a sawed-off shotgun.
