It's likely only a precaution, or maybe it's an opportunity to get rest, but New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady did not practice on Wednesday for the second straight week, this time with an unknown injury, per Kevin Millon of MassLive.com.
Last week, Brady was listed with an Achilles injury on the injury report, yet he participated in the practice sessions on Thursday and Friday before throwing four touchdowns in New England's win over the Miami Dolphins at home.
Brady was hit eight times against Miami, and a few of those hits were of the severe variety. However, he didn't leave the game in Week 12.
No one is expecting Brady to miss New England's upcoming game against the Buffalo Bills, but he does seem to be a little more banged up than usual. He's already been sacked 24 times this season. He was sacked 15 times during the entire 2016 campaign.
