Ripley teacher charged with child endangerment

A Ripley Central school teacher has been charged with child endangerment for allegedly having inappropriate physical contact with a juvenile, the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office said.

Lisa Sabella, 35, of Westfield, was charged Nov. 3 following a brief investigation, the Sheriff's Office said.

Sabella was issued an appearance ticket for the misdemeanor charge for an appearance in Ripley Town Court.

Sabella is listed as a faculty member who teaches computer skills and "expeditions" in the 2016-17 student handbook for Ripley Central's elementary school.
