CBRE Buffalo executive buys Main Street building

The CEO of commercial real estate brokerage CBRE-Buffalo didn't just move her firm to a prominent location on Main Street. She bought it.

Darby Fishkin and her husband, Zair, paid $975,000 to buy the 5,652-square-foot office building at 477 Main in downtown Buffalo on Wednesday, according to real estate records.

That's $172.50 per square foot, for a building without any parking of its own, according to brokers Chris Malachowski and Heidi Nuessle of Hunt Commercial Real Estate, who handled the sale.

The Fishkins are leasing the building – formerly home to Tod Martin's marketing and public relations firm Martin Group – to the Buffalo office of global brokerage CBRE, which Darby Fishkin runs alongside Managing Director Shana Stegner. Martin, the former owner, sold the building after his firm moved to a larger location in the former Levy, King & White building at 620 Main earlier this year.
