A Lockport man pleaded guilty Monday to stealing $8,400 worth of property in a Dec. 3 burglary at an apartment on his street.
Justin M. Kane, 28, of Gooding Street, admitted to a reduced charge of attempted second-degree burglary. Niagara County Judge Matthew J. Murphy III told Kane, a second-time felon, that he will receive no more than four years in state prison when he is sentenced Jan. 4, and he will owe restitution after he is released.
Kane served four years for a 2010 attempted grand larceny conviction.
On Aug. 4, his wife, Hollie Kane, 30, pleaded guilty to third-degree burglary and fourth-degree grand larceny for acting as a lookout as a purse was stolen from a vehicle on Washburn Street in Lockport on Dec. 11. She is awaiting sentencing.
