Stephania Wesolek, a retired General Mills production worker, died last Tuesday in her daughter’s home in Cleveland after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was 93.

Born in Lackawanna, one of eight children, the former Stephania Lebek married Raymond Wesolek in 1956 and was the mother of two daughters.

An animal lover devoted to her dogs and to feeding birds, Mrs. Wesolek enjoyed Bingo, playing cards and knitting afghans. She also baked pies, Christmas cookies and special fruitcakes.

Her husband died in 1996 and she moved to Cleveland in 2001.

Survivors include her daughters, Sandra Daley and June Marchese; a sister, Joan Karaszewski; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held in St. Adalbert Cemetery, 1621 Dale Road, Cheektowaga, after visitation from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in Hoy Funeral Home, 3855 Seneca St., West Seneca.
