Suspected driver who crashed car into Lewiston pole charged with DWI

A Lewiston man who walked away from a car crash and was tracked down by police at his home Saturday morning was charged with driving while intoxicated.

Lewiston Town police responded to a crash Saturday in which a car struck a utility pole on River Road near Joseph Davis State Park. The driver was not at the scene.

Robert Stevens, 21, was found at his home and charged with driving while intoxicated.

At 9 a.m., the road was back open.
