Registration opens for 'Learn to Skate' program in Amherst

Registration is open for the Amherst Skating Club's 10-week "Learn to Skate" program.

Sessions begin Jan. 9 at the Northtown Center, 1615 Amherst Manor Drive, with classes geared toward ages three and older, regardless of level of experience. Professional coaches work with students to learn basic skating skills, refine skills they already have or learn more advanced skills.

The Hockey Skills classes, for children 3 to 14 years of age, follow the Learn to Skate USA Hockey skills programs from hockey level 1 through hockey level 4 and power skating. This program is fully endorsed by USA Hockey in the development of skills needed to become a better hockey player.

Discounts apply to Amherst residents with a current town ID card. Visit amherstskatingclub.org/learn-to-skate or email ltsdirector@amherstskatingclub.org to register.
