Seahawks' Richard Sherman comes to Tyrod Taylor's defense

The Seattle Seahawks’ Richard Sherman has never been one to keep his opinion to himself, and on Sunday, he weighed in on the debate about Bills quarterbacks Nathan Peterman and Tyrod Taylor.

“So they bench my guy @TyrodTaylor and the guy they bring in has already thrown 2picks [sic] with 10mins left in the 1st,” the All-Pro cornerback wrote on Twitter, adding sarcastically: “Great decision.”

Sherman didn't stop there, piling on more criticism of the Bills.

The Seahawks are off today, preparing for their game Monday night against Atlanta. Sherman is out for the season with an injury.

Coming off consecutive losses, the Bills benched Taylor in favor of the rookie Peterman for this week’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers, sparking a national debate about whether Taylor deserved the demotion.

Peterman struggled in the opening quarter of his first NFL start, throwing three interceptions — one of which was the result of a drop by fullback Patrick DiMarco. His three interceptions in the quarter equaled Taylor's interceptions for the season.

Peterman also quarterbacked the Bills on a first-quarter touchdown drive Sunday, though the score was mainly the work of running back LeSean McCoy.
