Man shot during Jamestown home invasion

A Jamestown man was shot in the abdomen during a home invasion and robbery Saturday night.

Jamestown police, responding to reports of shots fired at 533 E. 5th St., found that two males reportedly entered the home, robbed the occupants and shot the man before fleeing. The perpetrators wore dark-colored hooded sweatshirts.

The incident occurred at about 8:10 p.m.

The victim was taken to UPMC WCA Hospital in Jamestown and was then transferred to UPMC Hamot in Pennsylvania for more treatment.

Jamestown police are asking anyone who may have information on the suspects or their whereabouts to contact them at 483-7537. Anonymous tips may also be left on the department's tip line at 483-8477 or by using the Tip 411 App.
