St. Bonaventure men's and women's basketball both breeze to victory

There were few stressed viewers in Olean on Saturday, as both St. Bonaventure’s men’s and women’s teams won by double digits.

The women started the day by showing off their balanced offense in a 70-51 victory against Eastern Michigan. Four Bonnies scored 10 or more points, led by McKenna Maycock with 15.

The men played their first game since the season-opening loss to Niagara, defeating Jackson State 72-58. Matt Mobley led the team with 27 points, five rebounds and six steals. Jaylen Adams missed a second straight outing with an ankle injury.

The men’s team will play a rescheduled game with Maryland Eastern Shore at 7 p.m. Monday. The teams were supposed to play Wednesday, but the matchup was postponed due to a power outage on St. Bonaventure’s campus.
