The Junior League of Buffalo and The Buffalo News are seeking proposals for the proceeds from the 2017 Decorators’ Show House, which was held last spring. Qualified 501(3)(c) not-for-profit agencies in Buffalo and Western New York are encouraged to apply. Typically only one agency is selected; proceeds from this year's Show House amounted to $215,000.
Decorators’ Show House is a major community fundraiser presented by the Junior League of Buffalo and The Buffalo News that takes place every other year.
A preliminary application is required and must be delivered by noon on Dec. 6 to the Junior League of Buffalo headquarters, 45 Elmwood Ave. Final proposals will be sought from invited applicants and will be due in January. Agencies must complete the preliminary application to be eligible for funding. The application is expected to be available Nov. 18 on the Junior League website, jlbuffalo.org. The recipient will be announced in April.

The August Feine House, 766 Ellicott St. in the heart of the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus, was the site of the 19th Decorators’ Show House and featured the work of more than 45 decorators and landscapers. The house is the newest addition on the Kevin Guest House (KGH) Campus and has been renamed the Russell J. Salvatore Hospitality House. It will soon host patients and families traveling to Buffalo for medical care.
Since 1981, Decorators’ Show Houses have raised more than $4 million to benefit local cultural and human service organizations.
