Playoff picture: Bills still hold playoff spot after blowout loss to Saints

The Bills got blown out of their own stadium Sunday in a 47-10 loss to the Saints that dropped them to 5-4. Where does that put them in the playoff hunt?

If the season ended today, the Bills would actually still hold the final wild-card spot in the AFC despite their two-game losing streak. Jacksonville (6-3) would own the other wild card.

The Dolphins currently stand at seventh in the AFC at 4-4 and could improve to 5-4 Monday night against the Panthers, but even if they win, the Bills would win the tiebreaker against them due to their conference record (they'd be even on head-to-head record, division record and record in common games, which are the first three tiebreakers).

Here is an updated look at the teams in the playoff hunt via ESPN, along with a link to the NFL's tiebreaking procedures. The Bills travel to play the Los Angeles Chargers (3-6) this week.
