View from Vegas: Bills-Saints betting trends to know

Marc Lawrence

The only matchup of winning teams on the schedule this week finds the super-hot Saints coming to Buffalo to face the Bills.

The good news for the Saints is their 6-0 record straight up and against the spread during their current six-game winning streak. The bad news is that NFL favorites of seven or fewer points riding a six-game SU and ATS streak are just 3-17 against the spread since 1980.

But the Saints are a jaw-dropping 13-1 ATS on the road between home games. But to that, we say phooey.

We agree more with the fact that CT Technologies had Buffalo pegged as a two-point favorite in this game at the start of the season projections.

All the Bills have done in 2017 is open the season at 5-3, including 4-0 SU and 3-0-1 ATS in Orchard Park. They are 6-1 ATS following a Thursday game.

Sorry, Vegas. Wrong team favored here.

The pick: BILLS over New Orleans by 3.
