Employee roughed up, 3 arrested in $30 robbery of Seneca St. supermarket

An employee was roughed up, and three young suspects were arrested in a $30 robbery Friday morning at a Seneca Street supermarket, South District police reported.

Police responding to Tops Market, 1989 Seneca, discovered an employee with a large gash above his left eye and several  bruises on his body suffered in an altercation with the thieves, police said.

Three juveniles face charges of robbery, petit larceny, criminal possession of stolen property and harassment.

Police recovered stolen merchandise including candy and pop valued at $30.
