Jets' Buster Skrine not fined for trip that injured Bills WR Zay Jones

Jets cornerback Buster Skrine was not fined by the NFL for tripping Bills receiver Zay Jones in their Week 9 matchup, according to a league source.

Jones was injured as a result of the trip and will miss Sunday's game against the Saints. He was able to return briefly in the second half against the Jets but was held out of practice week.

Jones beat Skrine on an out-and-up route in the second quarter before Skrine appeared to stick out his leg to take Jones down, apparently to take a penalty instead of  giving up a potential long gain.

Skrine described the play after the game as he and Jones getting "tangled up." Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor acknowledged "some DBs force a pass interference if they get beat on double moves."

Skrine was penalized 5 yards for illegal contact. The Bills lost the game, 34-21.
