If you can handle the weather, the Transit Drive-In can, too. The Lockport attraction has checked out the weather forecast through November and plans to remain open the next two weekends. (Barring any November surprise.)
"As we go into mid-November, it's a big gamble for us against the weather, and the odds are not in our favor. We can receive three feet of snow in less than half a day under the right (or wrong) weather conditions," the drive-in wrote on its Facebook page.
"So far this season, we've been very lucky, and the turnout over the past several weeks has been fantastic. Thank you to everyone who has supported the drive-in this fall, on the warm nights and the cold, under dry conditions and the wet."
Here's the schedule for Nov. 10-11:
Screen 1: "Thor: Ragnarok" (7:45 p.m.) with "Geostorm" (10:15 p.m.)
Screen 2: "Daddy's Home 2" (7:45 p.m.) with "A Bad Mom's Christmas" (9:45 p.m.)
Screen 3: "Murder on the Orient Express" (7:30 p.m.) with "Kingsman 2" (9:45 p.m.)
Screen 4: "Thor: Ragnarok" (7 and 9:30 p.m.)
Screen 5: "A Bad Mom's Christmas" (7 p.m.) with "Daddy's Home 2" (9 p.m.)
Gates open at 6:30 p.m. Grab a cup of hot cider or hot chocolate from the snack bar.
The Transit also will be open Nov.17-18 with plans to close for the season after that. However, with a little bit of luck from The Force, there's a chance for more, according to the Facebook post.
"There is a tiny glimmer of hope that we could re-open for 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' on the weekend of December 15, but that would take a minor weather miracle, with above-average, mild temperatures, combined with a precipitation-free forecast."
