Niagara Falls man sentenced to prison in Niagara, Chautauqua counties

Christopher M. Freeney of Niagara Falls was sentenced Monday to 2 1/2 years in state prison for possession of cocaine with the intention of selling it.

State Supreme Court Justice Richard C. Kloch Sr. said the sentence will be served simultaneously with a two-year state sentence Freeney began in September for a drug possession felony in Chautauqua County.

Freeney, 47, was arrested in the Falls Oct. 19, 2016. His previous record includes a two-year sentence for a drug conviction in Chautauqua County in 2008 and a 4 1/2-year sentence for a 1999 arson conviction in Buffalo, as well as a variety of arrests in Jamestown, Buffalo and Niagara Falls.
