It's National Cappuccino Day! Finally an excuse to drink excessive amounts of caffeine (not that anything stops us anyway).
So don't put a cap on the number of cappuccinos you get to drink today. After all, who couldn't use a pick-me-up on hump day?
And here are some local spots to check out in case you want to cafe hop:
Sweet_ness 7 Cafe, 220 Grant St.
This cute shop has a great local vibe and, more importantly, a great cappuccino ($4.50) on the menu.
Public Espresso + Coffee, 391 Washington St. in the Hotel @ the Lafayette
Any stop at the Hotel @ the Lafayette makes visitors feel regal, so snag a classy cappuccino ($3.50) from these coffee connoisseurs, who were just one of Alton Brown's destinations before his performance last week.
Undergrounds Coffee House and Roastery, 580 South Park Ave.
Try the cappuccino ($2.95-$4.45) from this hidden gem just outside of downtown Buffalo with your topping of choice — cinnamon, chocolate or nutmeg.
Tipico Coffee, 128 Fargo Ave.
Head to the West Side for a strong cappuccino ($3.25) at Tipico, which sources its beans from local roasters like Plume, Ruby Coffee and Detour coffee.
The Canadian coffee chain has exploded in Western New York, with eight different locations locally - four in the City of Buffalo and four more in the suburbs (Hamburg, Kenmore, Williamsville, Orchard Park). Their cappuccino runs from $3.50 to $4.35 and warms the cockles of the heart.
BONUS: Chef's, 291 Seneca St.
Yeah, you didn't expect to see Buffalo's iconic pasta haven on here! Did you know you can also get a cup of cappuccino at this local spot? Try a cup (for an impressive $5.70) after your meal for dessert.
