Sabres recall Redmond, place Bailey on injured reserve

The Sabres' roster carousel continues to spin.

Buffalo has recalled defenseman Zach Redmond from Rochester ahead of Tuesday's visit by the Washington Capitals. To make room on the roster, the Sabres have placed forward Justin Bailey on injured reserve.

Redmond has appeared in two games for Buffalo, skating 14:37 per night with one penalty and a minus-1 rating. He has one goal and five points in seven games with Rochester.

The Sabres practiced with six defensemen Monday, so Redmond could be insurance or a replacement. The Sabres' morning skate is at 10:30 a.m.

Bailey has missed two games with a lower-body injury and didn't practice Monday. He tested his injury after the Sabres' morning skate Saturday in Dallas.
