Repeat Lockport burglar risks up to 14 years in prison

Donald J. Frey of the City of Lockport pleaded guilty to two burglaries in State Supreme Court Monday, and he could be sentenced to as long as 14 years in prison when he returns before Justice Richard C. Kloch Sr. Dec. 11.

Frey, 42, of LeVan Avenue, admitted to a pair of Lockport crimes: breaking into a West Avenue gas station to steal change March 29, and to stealing tools from the back porch of a Webb Street home July 17.

Frey's record includes stealing from a house and garage in Royalton in 2011, breaking into a Town of Lockport home in 2012, and making $677 in charges on a stolen credit card, also in 2012. He completed a court-supervised drug treatment program in 2015 and received a conditional discharge in those cases.
