Bills center Eric Wood joined Mike Schopp and The Bulldog as part of 'Football Monday' on WGR-550 AM on Monday. With the mini bye done, the Bills are preparing for their upcoming game with the New Orleans Saints and Wood had thoughts on that game, as well as his postmortem on the Bills-Jets tilt.
Wood also chatted a bit about some of the games that occurred on Sunday, the addition of Kelvin Benjamin and his opinions on social media affecting players.
Wood, on the criticism of players like Brock Osweiler and Tom Savage — "Any type of immaturity in a quarterback, as far as allowing that stuff in, will really tank them."
Wood - "We didn't do our best job up front...when you jump offsides, have negative plays, it's an easy day for the d line."
Wood - "We're 5-3, if the season ended today we're still in the playoffs and we have to keep moving forward and getting better."
Wood, on Richie Incognito's claim of "injustice" regarding the Thursday night games - "I know where he's coming from and I feel his pain but...people got a microphone in front of him at the right time."
Wood - "The worst thing about it is - the Jets kinda beat us at our own game...hopefully we got it all out of our system."
Wood, on the Zay Jones trip - "It's pretty dirty, especially when someone gets hurt."
Wood - "After watching the dude from Oakland, I want nothing to do with carrying the football."
