Bills sign running back Travaris Cadet, place Taiwan Jones on injured reserve

After losing reserve running back Taiwan Jones to a season-ending broken arm in Thursday night's loss against the New York Jets, the Buffalo Bills Saturday signed Travaris Cadet to take his place.

The 6-foot-1, 210-pound Cadet is a sixth-year NFL veteran. He had seen his most recent action in the league during three games with the Jets this season. He joined the New Orleans Saints in 2012 as an undrafted free agent from Appalachian State.

Cadet, who appeared in 58 of 66 career games with the Saints, is a more accomplished receiver out of the backfield than a runner. He has caught 105 passes for 866 yards and seven touchdowns, while carrying only 27 times for 87 yards.
