“Witnesses: Buffalo’s Holocaust-Era Stories”. Nine stories highlighted in a month-long exhibit to include a Kristallnacht commemoration event to screen the documentary film, “Complicit,” the untold story of why the Roosevelt Administration denied safe haven to Jewish Refugees, at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Bulger Communication Center, SUNY Buffalo State. The Partners for a Livable Western New York Walk. 9:30 a.m. Saturday from St. Teresa’s Parish Center, 33 Mineral Springs Road. Those who gather at 8:30 a.m. will see a slide show of best practices for streetscape improvements, then two groups will fan out in different directions along Seneca Street, return to the church, and talk about what they've seen. Refreshments will be available before and after the walk, which also will be hosted by the Wellness Institute of Greater Buffalo, with support from WNY Refresh.
Mighty Fitz 5K Run. 2 p.m. Saturday, Brickyard Pub & BBQ, 432 Center St., Lewiston. The race will take runners through the Village of Lewiston, Artpark State Park and along the Niagara River waterfront.
