Where should Alton Brown go for wings in Buffalo?

Television food juggernaut Alton Brown is in Buffalo to perform his live show at 7 p.m. Nov. 2 in the University at Buffalo's Center for the Arts.

On Nov. 1 he tweeted a request for wing recommendations; peek through the 700+ suggestions left for the Food Network star - you'll either nod in approval or feel righteously indignant.

Everyone is entitled to their own nominations - it's perhaps one of the most divisive topics in Buffalo food - but here are mine:

*Elmo's (2349 Millersport Highway, Amherst) for double-dip Cajun. Oakland Raiders superstar Khalil Mack, a University at Buffalo alum, would agree wholeheartedly.

Cajun-style blackened wings make Elmo's a local landmark

*Duff's for original Buffalo style. Find the list of Duff's area locations here.

*Then Nine-Eleven Tavern (11 Bloomfield Ave.) for its cheesy take.

And if you're headed south anyway, he might as well hit Bar Bill (185 Main St., East Aurora) for its brushed-on elegance.
