Man found beaten, stabbed in Elmwood Village

A 30-year-old man was in fair condition at Erie County Medical Center on Thursday morning after he was beaten and stabbed Wednesday night near West Utica Street and Norwood Avenue, according to Buffalo police.

The victim told police he was approached by four men as he waited at a bus stop at Elmwood Avenue and West Utica at about 10:30 p.m., according to a city police report. He told police his attackers asked about a woman before they started beating him.

The victim's injuries included a broken nose and a lacerated lung from being stabbed in the chest, the report said.
