Holland's Reisdorf is tops in state high school clay target shooting

Brett Reisdorf of Holland took top individual honors in the New York State High School Clay Target League shooting for the 2017 fall season, which wrapped up Sunday. Holland also took home the team award for its conference.

Reisdorf averaged 22.3. Carson O'Brien, Garrett Bray, Josh Hoffman, Matt Logel, Brandon Ertl and Phil Barber and Tanner Bieck were the other members of the Holland team. Reisdorf was an  All-State selection after the 2017 Spring season in the Clay Target League.

Alexis Penna of Holley was the top female shooter with a 20.3 average.

The outcomes are determined by virtual competition among high school teams throughout New York with each team shooting at a range near its school. Conferences within the league are determined by school enrollment not geography. The league began competition in 2016.
