Buffalo man faces drug, weapons charges after raid on East North Street

A 61-year-old Buffalo man was charged with drug and gun possession after a raid at an East North Street home on Monday, the Erie County Sheriff's Office said.

Charles Alexander was arrested after the Sheriff's Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at about 1:15 p.m. Deputies said they recovered an ounce of crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia, marijuana and a loaded .380-caliber handgun.

Alexander was charged with criminal possession of a narcotic with intent to sell, criminal possession of a firearm, two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, three counts of criminal use of drug paraphernalia and criminal possession of marijuana.

Buffalo police and agents from the Drug Enforcement Agency assisted in the raid, the Sheriff's Office said.
