Bucky & Sully Show: Feeling good about the Bills

News Sports Columnists Bucky Gleason and Jerry Sullivan didn’t let the dreary weather get them down on Monday.

Bucky & Sully were still enjoying the afterglow from the Bills’ big win over the Raiders on Sunday during their weekly radio show on 1270 The Fan.

“All kinds of things going on down there at One Bills Drive, most of them good,” Bucky said. “It’s a very level-headed coach that you have here and they have the right players in place.”

Sully said he continues to be reminded of the 2005-06 Sabres team that reached the conference finals when he watches this current Bills team. But after removing nine recent first- and second-round picks from the roster, the Bills do need to rebuild their talent base to be a true championship contender.

“They are not ready to make a real run but that shouldn’t take the fun away from this,” Sully said. “Be happy for now, but be happier for the future.”

Bucky & Sully continued their discussion of the Bills’ resurgence and whether Tyrod Taylor should be brought back next season.
