A Mexican restaurant has taken over the Niagara Street space that was Ranchos Latin Food, Buffalo's only Venezuelan place.
But fans of Venezuelan food should be cheered by the news that the new operation at 1516 Niagara St., Taqueria Rancho la Delicias, will continue to supply Venezuelan favorites in addition to Mexican fare.
Owner Saul Sanchez said that the Venezuelan best-sellers - arepas, patacon plantain beef sandwiches, and corn-shelled empanadas – will be for sale.
That's in addition to the Mexican taco lineup ($2.50-$5), with fresh salsa bar, tortas ($8) and Mexican plates like chicken enchiladas in salsa verde ($11.99).
