Marcell Dareus thanks Bills fans, says he's still in shock over trade to Jaguars

Marcell Dareus made his first appearance with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday, days after he was traded by the Buffalo Bills.

The Bills moved Dareus – the No. 3 overall pick in 2011 and the team's highest-paid player – to the Jaguars in exchange for a conditional 2018 sixth-round draft pick Friday. The NFL trade deadline is Tuesday.

Reunited with the Jaguars, Marrone and Dareus built relationship on 'open communication'

"The world was spinning, man," he said Monday. "Traded, on the plane, [observing] the biggest cocktail party in the world, saying hello to the coaches, getting out [of the stadium], going to the hotel room and laying on the bed and looking at the [ceiling thinking] ,’What’s going on?’" I called my kids and spread the news and, Hey, this is life. It's crazy."

Here is more of what Dareus had to say (more to come):

Dareus will wear No. 57, the number he wore in college, rather than the No. 99 that he wore with the Bills.
