The routines of summer will last a little longer this year for people who leave their vehicles on the streets of Cheektowaga after dark.
The winter overnight parking ban, scheduled to go into effect next Wednesday, will be postponed until Nov. 15. Town Supervisor Diane Benczkowski advised residents to pay attention to forecasts in case snow shows up during those two weeks.
Cheektowaga ordinances ban parking on all town and county streets, with a few exceptions, from 1 to 6 a.m. from November until April 1. In the villages of Depew and Sloan, which have their own rules, the overnight parking ban is in effect from 2 to 7 a.m. beginning Nov. 15.
