WELL-TRAVELED – Author Naomi Shihab Nye, who has led writing workshops around the world and whose 2015 novel for children, “The Turtle of Oman,” was chosen as a 2015 Notable Children’s Book by the American Library Association, pays a visit at 7 p.m. Friday to the Nancy Howe Auditorium in the David A. Howe Public Library, 155 N. Main St., Wellsville.
Sponsored by Houghton College and the Friends of the Library, her reading is free and open to the public. Tickets for the reception that follows are $25 and include catering by the Duke House, live music and a book signing. Tickets are available at the library. For more info, call (585) 593-3410.

NEVER FORGET – Renowned scholar Father John Pawlikowski, professor emeritus at the University of Chicago and a leading figure in Christian-Jewish Dialogue, will talk on “Remembering the Holocaust: Continuing Ethical and Spiritual Challenges” at 7 p.m. Friday in the Main Dining Room at Christ the King Seminary. No registration is need. Free-will offerings are welcome.

Main St., Angola, will hold its annual Fall Bazaar from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, with many vendors, a flea market and a huge basket raffle.
