Two of the region's world-renowned names will be joined next month when the Anchor Bar opens its first Niagara Falls location.
The famed Buffalo chicken wing outlet will open in a 5,000-square-foot space in the Holiday Inn at 114 Buffalo Ave.
If all goes as planned, the restaurant will open Nov. 16, said Mark Dempsey, Anchor Bar's vice president of franchising and marketing. The hotel is owned by the Meriani Hotel Group.
The restaurant will seat about 200 people. It will be the first Anchor Bar outlet besides the airport spot to include a full breakfast menu.
Pancakes, waffles, bananas Foster French toast and yogurt parfaits will be on the menu, along with omelets. "We'll have a chicken wing omelet as well," said Dempsey. That number is packing shredded chicken, Anchor Bar hot sauce and blue cheese, he noted.
Wings, fries, pizza, beef on weck and the rest of the standard Anchor Bar menu will be available. Like the original location, there will be license plates and awards plaques everywhere.
