Guess which city Travel + Leisure readers named the friendliest in America?

Well, isn't this nice.

Travel + Leisure magazine has dubbed Buffalo the friendliest city in America.

The magazine holds an annual "America's Favorite Places" survey of it readers, asking them about what they love about their hometowns.

In the category of friendliness, cities in the South and and Midwest figured prominently with readers.

"And yet it was an East Coast city in famously frigid upstate New York that earned the No. 1 spot on this year's list of America's friendliest places. But even there, locals seem to be living up to long-held expectations. Buffalo isn't called the City of Good Neighbors for nothing," Travel + Leisure wrote.

The honor should come as no surprise to Buffalonians who pride themselves on chatting up strangers, shoveling each other's snow and whipping up a raffle basket at a moment's notice. Heck, we even have the world's sweetest shark as an unofficial mascot.

So, thank you so much Travel + Leisure. Now, can we give you directions on where to get a really great beef on 'weck?
