It is the second-highest rating of the season, behind only a 36.9 rating for an earlier home victory over the Denver Broncos.
The rating Sunday was higher than the 36.0 average for the season's first five games before the bye week.
In other NFL games, New England's 23-7 victory over Atlanta in a Sunday Night Football rematch of the Super Bowl had a 16.6 rating on WGRZ-TV (Channel 2), the local NBC affiliate.
Pittsburgh's 29-14 victory over Cincinnati had a 12.9 rating in the late afternoon game on WIVB-TV (Channel 4), the local CBS affiliate.
The highest-rated entertainment program Sunday was "60 Minutes," which had an 11.5 rating on Channel 4 after the football game ended. "Wisdom of the Crowd," which followed "60 Minutes," was the highest-rated scripted show with an 8.1 rating.
