The questions for weeks have been about the wide receivers. The Bills entered Sunday's game on a historically low pace for catches by wide receivers. They had just 24 through five games.
Deonte Thompson, signed this week after working out for the team, had four catches on four targets. He finished with 107 yards.
How big a number is that?
Consider that the highest total for a wide receiver on the season was Jordan Matthews' 162 yards on 10 catches through four games. Matthews was hurt and missed part of the game against Atlanta and then was out against Cincinnati. He returned Sunday and was wearing a protective pad on his thumb.
Tyrod Taylor and Thompson have known each other dating back to high school and the connection was apparent.
