Iskalo buys Hamburg medical building

Iskalo Development Co. acquired a medical office building in the Village of Hamburg, adding to its holdings as it continues its renovation of the nearby Hamburg Village Square plaza.

The Williamsville-based developer paid $1.15 million last month to buy the 28,809-square-foot Hamburg Medical Park building at 17 Long Ave., from LSW Limited Partnership, controlled by Donald J. Leone. Originally constructed in 1950 on 1.9 acres at Buffalo Street, it was converted from a supermarket to a medical office building in 1990.

"We think it is a well-located piece of property in a great village that has really transformed itself in recent years," said Executive Vice President David Chiazza.

It has several tenants and "a fair amount of vacancy" that Iskalo will try to address, he said. The developer plans to continue to manage the building as a medical office building, he said.
